Hi, I’m Leesa
I’m the founder and creator of She Only Journeys Together.
I create small-group journeys for women who want to experience something extraordinary but may not have someone available to go with them.
I’m not interested in simply visiting the usual destinations and following the same itinerary as everyone else. I’m fascinated by the stories, mysteries, traditions and rare events that make us think, “I have to experience that at least once in my life.”
How it all began
She Only Journeys Together began with the kinds of adventures I kept dreaming about but wasn’t always sure I could—or wanted to—do alone.
Witnessing a total solar eclipse in Egypt. Exploring ancient ruins, haunted places, treasure trails and the wonderfully strange and unexplained.
I realised there must be other women looking at experiences like these and thinking exactly the same thing:
“I would love to do that—but who would I go with?”
That question became the beginning of She Only Journeys Together.
The journeys I want to create
My ideas rarely begin with an ordinary destination. They begin with an experience.
It might be Australian outback fossicking, European treasure hunting, antique collecting, op-shopping and thrift-market adventures, archaeology, ghost hunting, goddess mythology, diving, traditional crafts, unusual festivals or following UFO stories across America.
It can also include all the lovely things that make a holiday feel special—beautiful accommodation, colourful markets, wineries, high teas, spas, shopping, wonderful food and time to relax.
I want each journey to have something truly memorable at its heart: an experience we wouldn’t normally find in a standard travel brochure and a story we’ll still be telling long after we return home.
Why women travelling together matters to me
The best experiences become even better when we can share them with people who understand why they matter.
I don’t want these journeys to feel like a coach full of strangers following a flag. I want them to feel warm, friendly and personal—a group of women brought together because something about the journey genuinely excites them.
You might come with a friend, sister, partner or family member. You might arrive without knowing anyone at all.
Either way, the aim is the same: to create a welcoming space where women can feel comfortable, share the adventure, make genuine connections and never feel as though they have to miss an extraordinary experience simply because they don’t have someone to go with.
My promise to you
I’m building these journeys thoughtfully and honestly.
I will never pretend that every detail of travel can be controlled. Plans can change, weather can interfere and unexpected things can happen—that is part of travelling. But I will communicate openly, listen carefully and put genuine effort into creating journeys that feel special, well considered and worth taking.
I want you to feel that you can ask questions, talk to me directly and understand what you are joining before making any payment.
This is not about rushing people into bookings. It is about bringing the right women together for the right journey.
A little magical chaos
I’m curious, imaginative and always searching for the next unusual idea.
One journey might begin with an eclipse, another with an old legend, a gemstone, a ghost story, an antique market or something wonderfully unexpected that I discover and simply cannot stop thinking about.
That curiosity—and perhaps a little magical chaos—is what gives She Only Journeys Together its personality.
I may be the person who begins each idea, but it is the women who join me who will bring every journey to life.
Come as you are
You don’t need to be an experienced solo traveller. You don’t need to know anyone before you arrive, and you certainly don’t need to fit into anyone else’s idea of what an adventurous woman looks like.
You only need curiosity, an open mind and the desire to experience something memorable with other women.
